Take Hwy 71 East toward Bastrop. Go about 22 miles (or less) from the airport; about 25 miles from Austin
Take Hwy 304 exit….turn right at the light. (Covert Auto dealership is on your right). Go 16.8 miles, crossing a railroad track at about 14.8 miles (passing signs indicating Rosanky to the left and Rockne to the right….Valero Station and Wagon Wheel on your left).
At 16.8 miles, turn left on Peach Creek Road. Go 5 miles, until you come to two entrances on your right. The first one is called the Sand Hill Ranch. Immediately after that, you’ll see my black mailbox with Davis on it….on a red post.
Take a right through Monica’s green electric gate (“Davis” in red) over a cattle guard and follow the road (over a 2nd cattle guard) about .3 miles to the house.
(Drive approximately 70-75 miles to Hwy. 304 cut-off)
Take I-10 toward Houston. Exit (going off to your right) at Hwy Marker Exit #642. (It says “Hwy. 304, Bastrop, Gonzales”). At the stop sign, turn left on Hwy 304 toward Bastrop. You’ll drive a total of about 11.8 miles crossing a railroad track at about 1.7 miles down the road, and ultimately coming upon the town of Delhi, where you’ll pass a fire station and a church on your right. Immediately look for the signs to #713. Take a right at the intersection of Hwy #304 and CR #713, and drive 3.8 miles.
As you top a small hill, look for a narrow green road sign that says “Peach Creek Rd”. Turn left, and drive about 1mile on a paved country road. Turn left at the mailbox marked “Davis” (1110 Peach Creek Rd.), and when you drive over the sensor in the driveway, the green electric gate will open. Drive .3 miles to the house.
Take I-10 toward San Antonio (approximately 120-122 miles to Hwy 304 cut-off). You’ll pass an exit to Waelder. …
Take the next exit at Hwy Marker #642. (It says “Hwy. 304, Bastrop, Gonzales”). At the stop sign, turn right on Hwy 304 toward Bastrop. If you want to take the toll road, take I-35E South toward Austin. Exit at marker 265 onto TX 130 S. toward Austin. From the toll road, take exit 449 toward TX-71. Backroads from Austin: From Ben White (Hwy 71) and I-35, drive East toward Bastrop. Exit at Burleson or Montopolis, head south briefly and then turn left and follow Burleson out to Hwy 183. Cross over Hwy 183, and follow Burleson to Hwy 973. Left for 1 mile; right on Pearce Lane (which turns into 535). Go about 5.8 miles to Hwy 21. Cross over 21, and keep going straight about 6.7 miles to Hwy 20. Cross over Hwy 21 and continue east on 535 for another 8 miles to Hwy 304. Take a right on Hwy 304 for 2.3 miles to Peach Creek Road. There is a green electric gate (with DAVIS in red on it) that should open when you drive over the sensor. Drive .3 miles to the house.
Backroads from Houston: Take I-10 toward San Antonio (approximately 120-125 miles to Waelder exit. #653). Drive into the town of Waelder on US 90. Go to the water tower, and turn right onto Avenue D, which will turn into Hwy 1296. Follow 1296 through the countryside for 8-9 miles. Turn left on Hwy 713, and drive 1.3 miles to Peach Creek Road. Turn right, and drive exactly 1 mile on a paved country road (Peach Creek Road). Turn left at the mailbox marked “Davis” (1110 Peach Creek Rd.), and when you drive over the sensor in the driveway, the green electric gate will open. Drive .3 miles to the house.
